Lyall is also a recognized leader in lean manufacturing and operational efficiency, and the Lyall Business System™ (LBS) has been used by organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to branches of the U.S. military seeking to improve operationally or organizationally. FocalPoint was engaged to explore a range of strategic alternatives on behalf of the Lyall family who had built the business over multiple generations. For over 30 years, NetIG has been a leading supplier of highly proprietary structured cabling and interconnect systems for some of the largest industrial and technology companies in the world. The Company’s ability to design, engineer, and custom manufacture some of the most sophisticated connectivity products in the industry has resulted in NetIG establishing itself as a preferred supplier to customers like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Boeing, and the U.S. Government. After more than three decades as a privately held company and tremendous organic growth in recent years, NetIG’s shareholders realized the need to align the Company with a strategic partner in order to expand on a global scale. FocalPoint advised NetIG through a highly complex transaction that resulted in a strategic joint venture with UK-based FibreFab/Optronics – a subsidiary of America Fujikura Ltd. (“AFL”), which is wholly owned by Japanese telecommunication systems provider Fujikura, Ltd.
Envision Plastics and its affiliates is one of the leading producers of premium recycled and compounded plastic resins and by-products in North America. With multiple operations in California and North Carolina, the Company has developed unique capabilities to process both post-consumer and post-industrial recycled plastic resin. Envision’s flagship products include EcoPrime™, the only recycled high-density polyethylene ("HDPE") resin approved by the FDA for food contact applications, and PRISMA™, the most advanced color sortation and matching technology in the plastic recycling industry.
