Los Angeles, CA – A licensed multi-unit franchisee of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (“the Company”) has obtained a senior term loan from Deerpath Capital Management (“Deerpath”) in order to provide liquidity for existing shareholders and to fund the development of new Krispy Kreme stores. FocalPoint acted as exclusive financial advisor to the licensed multi-unit franchisee.
The Company is one of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts’ largest and fastest growing U.S. franchisees, and has built a reputation for its high quality products, customer service, friendly employees, and efficient operations.
“The FocalPoint team proved itself an indispensable partner, who exposed us to a broad array of capital raising alternatives and facilitated our analysis by providing trustworthy, objective advice. More importantly, once we solidified our goals, FocalPoint expertly guided our process, represented our interests with conviction and facilitated a flawless execution. We could not be more pleased with the result!” said the CEO of the Company.
Rajesh Sood, Managing Partner at FocalPoint commented, “We were fortunate to have worked with such a cohesive and experienced management team, one that has guided the franchise through the years to become a leader in the Krispy Kreme franchise system. By diligently working with them to understand the needs and requirements of the business, we were able to secure a structure with a lender that would protect the success of the Company.”
“This is another successful example of the deep and long relationships FocalPoint cultivates with both operators and investors in the restaurant sector. We’ve known the management team for many years, and helped them identify not only the right time to approach the market but the right lending partner for their professional and personal goals,” added Rod Guinn, Managing Director at FocalPoint.
