Los Angeles, CA – StrikeAd, Inc. (“StrikeAd” or the “Company”) has been acquired by Sizmek Inc. (“Sizmek”).
Founded in 2010 in New York City, StrikeAd built the world’s first dedicated mobile Demand-Side Platform (“DSP”), Fusion. The Company’s DSP empowers media agencies to manage large-scale mobile ad campaigns from multiple advertisers on a single, integrated platform. The Company’s programmatic Real-Time Bidding platform enables mobile advertisers, brands, and agencies to plan, optimize, deliver, and evaluate their campaigns across multiple devices. StrikeAd’s Fusion platform offers users the ability to track behavior beyond the click and is currently utilized by five of the top six global trading desks. Sizmek intends to integrate StrikeAd into the Sizmek MDX platform as part of its DSP Connect initiative, which focuses on streamlining the media buying process through the integration of multiple Demand-Side Platforms.
“Mobile advertising is clearly experiencing significant growth,” said Neil Nguyen, CEO and President of Sizmek. “By bringing the talent and technology from StrikeAd into Sizmek, we are now able to deliver our customers an end to end mobile advertising solution.”
Alex Rahaman, CEO of StrikeAd, added, “We have received very positive feedback from our customers on this decision. Our mutual commitment to global reach with local service will enable us to continue to provide advertisers with a better understanding of media performance across all channels.”
“This transaction confirms our belief that demand remains high for rapidly growing and differentiated companies in the ad tech industry,” noted Muizz Kheraj, leader of FocalPoint’s Technology practice. “Larger players are committed to growth through acquisitions, but with nearly 2,000 ad tech companies in the market, these acquirers are finding it difficult to identify quality companies with niche, tech-specific propositions. Our industry expertise and extensive, international network of buyers allowed us to facilitate this sale process.”
Nishen Radia, Managing Partner at FocalPoint, commented, “We are excited to have worked on the successful sale of StrikeAd to Sizmek. This deal represents another example of our ability to underwrite transactions in fast-evolving areas of the technology space. Given the emergence of Silicon Beach, our dedicated Technology team has established a leadership position in the local market and we look forward to many future successful transactions.”
